Heat and tension...

It's getting hot in the city... And that seems to make people more tense... I guess it just adds to the normal stress level... Some people of course are way more relaxed as well... I of course salute those... Seems a lot smarter... Conserving energy and so...

I like this top image... Neat shape in the main area, but focus on the foreground... What is going to happen next? Another movie still from the weird and dark stories in my mind... Although I would be curious what stories you come up with...

Almost sorted this one out...But decided I liked the way the door basically covers most details up... Anticipation is all that's left... And it works great with the one before...

All in greenish tones...

I'm glad for those posters, especially if I need to go to "unusual" places...

Can't explain why I like this...

Reminds me of my new deodorant... Old Spice Swagger...

Funny... Had to keep this one!

So blue!

Trains were not on best behavior...

Love the t-shirt...

Had to be red!

Me: Intimidated!

Just outside the dojo: 14th Street and 8th Avenue!

Con Ed's emergency truck on our street... This one at least wasn't as noisy...

Cute!

Barcelona in Harlem!

I didn't know that those caps are still in use... (Is this even a cap?)

Oh oh!

Is this my station?

So strong...

Lovely smile!

In a world of his own...

Great style!

Really happy with this one...

Tension... As promised!

In color and style..

Today color only images from my last few trips in the NYC subway system... Not really sure how that happened... But it turned out that I preferred the color treatment for all of them... I guess I've become comfortable with the colors I've dialed in after all... And it somehow gives the whole scene a slightly off feel as well...

Top image: I would definitely cast him for a movie... Great face and style...

The blue shirt makes him somehow not really fit into the location... I mean yes, the ticket machine fits being all steel, but the construction with rivets and all have somehow a more aged feel to it...

Busker (with percussion) interacting with audience... Was too close to show the instrument but still liked the image...

125 Street station...

Focus falling funky here... Face obscured by reflections as well... One of my favorites this time around...

Love this one... Neat how the door frame works out and the reflections do their part...

Just seconds later... (If that...)

Strong pattern...

Neat how the door seems to obstruct her movement...

Finding her way...

Say it with Bacardi...

This is a movie I would want to see... Might not end happily though...

Contrasts...

What was the rule again? Only straw hats after labor day?

Shades image of the day!

Strong colors and design...

Changes to be made...

Happy vs. not so much

With the Euro-Cup going on at the time I'm thinking all in scores these days... Not that I actually follow it all that closely... But in regards to the ratio of happy vs. not so much I'm counting 1:14...

The orange / warm tones definitely help to lift the mood...  Reminds me of theories about how the consciousness of few can balance out groups of people... Check out David R. Hawkins' work if you are interested in that kind of stuff...

The greenish / cool colors set the mood...

Busking with a flute...

Layers... I (or my camera) have (has) a hard time with shots from one train to the next... With all those layers it's tricky to figure out what to focus on... And occasions pass quite quickly as well... Still happy with this one...

Cryptic messages cut into an armrest...

He actually came to sit next to us, but only for a stop if that...

Have I mentioned that I'm not a fan of striped clothes? I like them ok for images, but wouldn't really consider wearing them...

At Fulton Street station... Hadn't been there in a while... Still lots of construction going on...

Closed due to construction I'd guess...

Must not comment on shirt... But do like the image!

Give peace a chance...

Shades underground, episode #235!

Those new trains are bright...

Love it!

Last image of a mainly gloomy day I guess... Although I have to say that (as you might have noticed throughout my blog) I'm actually fond of these more mellow, darker and somehow more real moments of life...
