Recently I found myself walking around the city in the evening... It was after class and it started to get dark... Amazing what is possible these days with modern camera equipment!
This image is taken where I used to spend a lot of time... Close to the Flatiron Building... Where a lot of photo labs used to be... You know the ones used for processing film necessary for image taking purposes before the advent of digital... I guess the mix of those two worlds made me melancholic...
This is quite some time later that evening after a longer walk with a friend... Me trying to cut over from the East Side to Penn Station... I guess the city that never sleeps can get quite quiet after all...
Just love the monochromatic gray... With orange exception...
These are pretty much taken across from Penn Station... There was a work crew fixing something a little further up the street, but I became fascinated by the way simple things like pavement and concrete looked late at night with artificial lighting...
